CLC DIY kit for a mini caravan: teardrop trailer!

The Company Chesapeake Light Craft presented his self-designed one a few years ago Teardrop Camper Series, which impresses with its innovative design, efficiency and stylish aesthetics. Teardrop caravans are characterized by their characteristic teardrop contour and have roots that go back to the 1930s. John C. Harris, a designer, was fascinated by the uniqueness of the teardrop camper and highlighted their convenience and functionality advantages over traditional tents. The compact size makes them light enough to be towed by smaller cars, while traditional caravans require larger vehicles and more fuel. Despite the popularity of DIY teardrop campers their quality varied greatly. That's where Chesapeake Light Craft comes in, bringing their boat building expertise to the projects, resulting in a 1,5' x 2,4' caravan that is both appealing as well as amazing geräumige at a hunt.

The DIY pack for the campers includes all the necessary parts, except for the trailer itself. Additional extras like that Roof hatch, ventilation system, kitchen set, the Electrical installation and Storage compartments are available separately. Thanks to detailed instructions and prefabricated components, the assembly is feasible for both experienced do-it-yourselfers and newcomers. The camper is made of high quality Okoume marine plywood made and through epoxy resin and Glass fiber reinforced, giving it strength and durability. They are protected against water both outside and inside. Chesapeake Light Craft teardrop trailers are also flexible and fit a variety of trailers, including bespoke lightweight models. Optional are even Roof rack and other Extensions available.

Base kit price is $3.465

Inside there is enough Space for two people with a height of up to 1,98 m. Large doors and a roof opening ensure comfort and air circulation. Amenities include a 12 volt electronic system for lighting, ventilation, music and charging small devices. A special feature is the spacious rear kitchen, for which a dedicated shelving solution is available as an optional extra, further promoting space optimisation.
