Ready & Fun: Launch Edition 002 Mil-Spec Hummer H1

Now it is only four days since we planned to do so Mil-Spec Hummer H1 as Launch Edition 002 have reported. After the extensively rebuilt Hummer H1 From the beginning of June this year, the 002 should become even more extreme and extravagant. In addition, the focus was also to bring a little more luxury in the former military vehicle and crowning was planned for the 002 a hatchback variant. And that's exactly what Tuner has Mil-Spec Automotive Now put into action and presented the finished Mil-Spec Hummer H1 as Launch Edition 002 in a first video and a few pictures. In addition to the put into practice hatchback variant, the particular highlight of the video is definitely the built-in air suspension (in the video below) that the 002 received.

According to the Mil-Spec the system offers three selectable driving modes that should make the 002 usable either for the road or for the off-road area. The adjustment range from the lowest variant to the highest is a whopping 7 inches (17,78 cm) and the video impressively shows us what a lowered Hummer H1 with widebody kit and coarse off-road tires looks like - namely really cool! And as announced, there was the body made of aircraft aluminum with a robust matt finish and attached widebody fenders. And otherwise everything that the virtual sketches had already promised was apparently implemented. In addition to the widenings and the robust doors, there is a huge tubular space frame as protection for the front and the bonnet, two large LED light strips on the roof, new LED headlights and indicators all around and at the same time there was no new bumpers.

Instead, two steel structures are installed at the front and at the back which are equipped with towing and towing devices and also protect the 002 from being damaged off the beaten track. And as already announced, the cabin has been extensively designed and shows a first picture here as well. In principle, everything looks like the well-known H1 from the beginning of July and at first glance, only the leather with perforated diamond stitch pattern is a novelty. Also in the 002 we recognize a much better insulated cabin with plenty of leather, individual seats, Momo Prototipo steering wheel, a high-end JL audio system including USB ports and a start button to start the engine. But for exactly this engine and at the moment unfortunately no information available.

You can recognize the gear lever of any Allison six-speed automatic transmission and we are pretty sure that this is coupled to the brute 6,6-liter turbodiesel Duramax V8 with 500 PS and 1.355 NM torque. To bring the power to the wheels are definitely new differentials and reinforced drives installed and the rest make the big rims with the already mentioned off-road tires. Unfortunately, more details are not available for today (24.07.2018). If we receive timely information about us previously unknown changes, there is, of course, as always, an update for this report.
