Seven concept vehicles for the 2023 Easter Jeep Safari!

Greetings every year Easter jeep safari! For the 57th time (from 01 to 09.04.2023) the annual Easter JeepSafari. And as usual, Jeep is participating along with more than 20.000 off-road enthusiasts. As was the case last year, there will be seven concept vehicles, three of which are plug-in hybrids and even one fully electric example. As always, the concept vehicles are not planned for series production, but some of the components used will be included in the Jeep range as accessories.

1978 Jeep Cherokee 4xe Concept

A hybrid jeep didn't exist in 1978, but this restomod combines the past with the future. The base is a classic SJ Cherokee that got the powertrain from the modern Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. In other words, under the hood sits a turbocharged 2,0-liter four-cylinder and there were two electric motors. Who built an eight-speed automatic transmission in combination with a 4:1 transfer case. The car is shod with 37-inch (0,94m) off-road tires mounted on 17-inch rims with signature old-school Mag styling. The original 1978 body has been extensively restored and modified, with retro yellow paintwork with orange stripes as a nod to the past.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer Overland Concept

The large Grand Wagoneer is the fleet's XXL concept car and has plenty of space for passengers. It features a pop-up skyloft roof with sleeping space for two, accessible from inside through a repositioned rear sunroof. The seats in the third row were also removed in favor of beanbags and a floor with a bed lining in the rear. It stands on 35-inch (0,89 m) off-road tires and got slightly widened wheel arches (custom-made flares) and a Höherlegung by 1,5 inches (approx. 4 cm / lift kit).

Jeep Wrangler Magneto 3.0 Concept

This concept vehicle is based on the all-electric Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle still has only one electric motor installed, but its power can now be regulated by the driver between 285 and 650 hp. There's a new two-stage regenerative mode that can be disabled for normal driving or enabled for energy recovery when braking. A newly programmed hill descent mode is also available in single-pedal operation. Jeep also makes a few minor body changes to improve entry and exit. For example, the B-pillar was moved backwards to make room for a special roll bar. And powerful beadlocks with off-road tires can also be seen. Furthermore, the angle of the windshield has been pulled back by 12 degrees and a new paint finish rounds off the tuning.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Departure concept

The so-called Departure Concept shines in dark blue. This deep blue off-roader focuses on the full open-air adventure and shines with lots of accessories from Jeep Performance Parts. Tubular doors are installed, there are flat fenders, a folding radiator grille (also installed on the Gladiator Sideburn Concept) and much more. LED off-road headlights are also installed on the frame of the windscreen, which can be rotated when the windscreen is folded in, and there are other LED lights all around. A tubular tailgate allows various positions for the spare wheel while increasing storage space. There are also various practical storage compartments in the interior. A 2 inch (approx. 5 cm) lift kit with 37 inch (0,94 m) off-road tires is located under the vehicle.

Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept

Curtain up for the Sideburn Concept. This vehicle is designed for extreme off-road adventures and comes with numerous additional equipment for even more functionality and off-road capabilities. The one-of-a-kind has a tailor-made loading area with sufficient storage space and special shelves for various containers. Visually, the Gladiator has a radiator grille with a ram protection, which even serves as a foldable bench seat. The 11-inch (approx. 28 cm) large LED lights on the roof are removable and there is a sports bar made of carbon and steel between the driver's cab and the loading area, which offers even more possibilities for stowing various equipment. There are numerous equipment upgrades throughout the interior and last but not least, a 2 inch (approx. 5 cm) lift kit and heavy 37 inch (0,94 m) off-road tires are installed in the concept vehicle.

Jeep Scrambler 392 Concept

The old jeep scrambler appeared in 1981 as a small pickup. While there's no telling that there'll be a new Scrambler anytime soon, certainly not one with a 6,4-liter Hemi V8 from the Wrangler Rubicon 392, the concept vehicle at least makes one dream of it. Starting with the four-door Wrangler, the concept is a radical take on the classic of yesteryear, also with two doors (not real doors) and featuring many custom carbon body panels. The fenders, for example, are significantly fatter, there were new aprons (lightweight components) and it rides on air suspension that allows for height adjustment between 1,5 and 5,5 inches (approx. 14 cm). In addition, 40 inch (approx. 1 m) off-road tires rotate in the wheel housings.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe Concept has a little barby style! Based on the limited-edition 2021 Jeep Wrangler with pink Tuscadero livery, the concept also adds black accents in all the right places and even sports a custom graphic on the hood. Under the hood is adjustable air suspension like the Scrambler 392 Concept, making room for 37-inch (0,94m) off-road tires on 17-inch black rims.
