Something fresh, something new, and straight from the land of the rising sun. The Japanese tuning company 3D design has committed to this BMW X4 M40i (LCI/G02) and gave the sporty SUV a few stylish add-ons. And the adjustments are sometimes more than just superficial - they penetrate right into the heart of the Bavarian SUV. And the spoiler lip also fits perfectly on the X3 (G01), like it did on one in April modified M40d Seen variant. But it's not just at the front that something has happened. The OEM rims from the BMW factory had to go and find new ones, 21-inch, two-piece forged rims soft. A change that suits the X4 really well and further underlines the sporty attitude. 3D Design also has new ones for the side view side skirts at the start, while a new one at the rear diffuser and a small one rear spoiler – of course Carbon manufactured – rounding off the overall sporty impression. And there are also some innovations in the interior: Upgrade pedals, floor mats and shift paddles are available to upgrade the cabin.

Of course, this tuned X4 still works under the hood 3,0-liter straight-six, also called “B58” internally. But the Japanese tuner has also lent a hand here and improved the performance of the already potent unit 382 PS for more 50 60 to PS increased. The torque increases at the same time 500 on considerable 618 Nm. While there are (unfortunately) rumors that BMW will not relaunch the X4, at least not with a combustion engine, 3D Design shows us what else is in the current model. Maybe a kind of farewell gift to all petrol brothers and sisters?
