It's been 3 years since the seventh generation of the Chevrolet Corvette hit the market. Technically, C7 has now arrived on Porsche level and especially the top model Z06 is for German (and other) Athletes are difficult to crack. From the factory, it is already 659 hp in series production, making it the most powerful series Vette ever. However, compared to the "normal" C7 Stingray, with 466 hp, a surcharge of 40.000 euros is easily necessary to be able to call a Z06 his own.

If that's too much for you, the company is based in Schkeuditz (near Leipzig) GME German Motors & Engineering an alternative we already have 2015 have reported, GME has now seemingly once again created a hand and brings to own statement the C7 on current 700 PS. This is achieved by means of compressor upgrades with complete technology from our own development and production. Installed is a Edelbrock screwdriver kit that helps the LT1-V8 the C7 to more power than the Z06. The key data of the compressor is an 55 percent larger chamber volume compared to the compressor of the Z06.

If you want to go to the racetrack more often, GME has an optional water injection in stock that ensures significantly lower temperatures in the charge air area and the coolers. As already mentioned, the red Vette currently has around 700 hp, but optionally up to 850 hp are possible. To achieve this power, you need a modified injection system and of course an individual chip tuning engine control electronics and a hand-made stainless steel flap exhaust system. And of course a new brake system is also essential.

The eight-piston system with 380 millimeter discs at the front and the four-piston system with 356-millimeter discs at the rear and, of course, steel-flex cables are still installed here. Incidentally, these are two-piece discs which are slotted and have a floating bearing. If that's not enough, you can also resort to sauteuren carbon brake discs. The lowering and improved handling of the C7 GME sports suspension achieves this, the factory installed, leaf springs replaced and threaded rear struts bring. And also visually is a lot different because the C7 is equipped with the in-house Monza S15C7 wheelset and a chic Abbes body kit.

The rims were specially designed for the C7 and come in the dimensions 9,5 × 19 inches at the front and 11 × 20 inches at the rear. The wheel set is equipped with Michelin tires in the format 245/35 ZR19 and 295/30 ZR20. Incidentally, the Abbes Design Bodykit consists of a front spoiler with splitter, side skirts, a diffuser and inserts for the air outlets. Should we hear in the future that GME has pushed the C7 to the above-mentioned 850 PS, we will of course be back with a new article.
