A sports car from the late 90s, the first Audi TT (8N), has received increasing attention in recent years. Not least because of the iconic design, despite the fact that it is based on the inconspicuous VW Golf MK4. This has growing popularity Niels van Roij Design inspired to Restomod project to be developed specifically for the TT Roadster. And Niels van Roij Design, a tuner from the Netherlands, has now published the first teasers of the project on social media. In the post, the team says they are happy about a new customer and the interesting Restomod project. The teaser photos show the TT and a thick folder with lots of notes, suggesting that the team could certainly do extensive work on the vehicle and change parts of the design, such as the cover for the fabric roof.

The photos of the TT Roadster also suggest that the design may be from Audi TTS Roadster concept from 1995 could be inspired. The concept differed from the series through more elegant air inlets in the apron and individual leather interior in the cabin. The donor vehicle was already chrome plated Five-spoke light alloy wheels equipped, which were a good choice for the TT. There is no exact information about the powertrain yet, but it could be either the turbocharged one 1,8-liter four-cylinder (VW EA113) or the 3,2-liter VR6 (VW EA390). Niels van Roij Design has mentioned that it will announce more details soon as the project progresses further. We are excited!
