Hardly any model of the brand BMW polarizes (especially in the tuning scene) as strong as the E36. For some it is simply a proletarian vehicle, for others a timelessly beautiful automobile that is becoming a classic. No matter how you feel about the three-series, which has shaped the BMW image like no other for decades, it cannot be denied that the three-series in particular is regularly modified. So does the vehicle from the British tuner Ben Swaine, which we will present to you in more detail today.
BMW three-seater coupe (E36)
Already the spectacular Painting in Midnight Purple immediately catches the eye. There are new ones for that fender from Fiber Factory, one GTR front splitter, side skirts from WDS and one diffuser by Fancywide at the rear. For a sensational look, a Airlift 3P Airride chassis installed, which can be individually adjusted in height from the cockpit. Also found three-part 17-inch alloy wheels (10.5×17 & 12.5×17) of the type G1001 from the manufacturer Gotti with tires in the format 235/40 and 275/45 (Nankang NS2) the way to the coupe. They cause quite a stir with their golden star and the extreme drop center look.
The wheels wouldn't look out of place on a JDM project either, and we think they're a perfect match for the extraordinary BMW. Further modifications of the vehicle concern the braking system, which comes from an M3 and its calipers are powder-coated in violet to match the exterior paint finish. Even purple braided brake lines are installed. There are also slotted ones Brake discs from EBC with Brake pads by Redstuff. However, one of the most important modifications is the removal of the anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Sporty, elegant interior
The interior was also fundamentally modified and black ones stopped Recaro sports seats with leather upholstery in the BMW coupe. In addition, found a Born2Drift shifter (Short-Shifter) the way into the E36, which is strongly reminiscent of the sequential gear units of the high-horsepower drift cars. Furthermore, another 2 DIN audio system with new Speakers installed, which ensures a decent sound experience in the cabin.
S50 engine provides propulsion in the coupé
A melodious melody sounds not only from the interior, but also from the bow. Of the S50B32 engine, which has a displacement of 3,2 liters and does not require charging, normally does its job in the M3 of the E36 generation. By a Supersprint exhaust system, a Roose Motorsport silicone pipe set as well as a K&N air filters the vehicle barely performs 300 PS. The power transmission takes place via a Getrag six-speed manual transmission on the rear wheels.
