The Restomod hype is unbroken, and this Chevrolet Bel Air from 1954 clearly shows why more and more tuning enthusiasts are taking this type of automotive refinement to their hearts. The company Retro Designs from the US state of North Carolina has restored and modified what we think is a beautiful project vehicle from the ground up in several thousand hours of work and, among other things, with a Ride Tech air suspension and a Scott's Hot Rods chassis stocked. And of course we would like to introduce you to the American dream in more detail.

Not only the complete repainting in turquoise blue, but also the carefully polished chrome parts cause astonished looks from other road users. Furthermore, parts of the car cleared, and there found about dark-toned tail lights as well as modern LED headlights the way to the bodywork from the 50s. The US road cruiser also rolls up Y spoke rims in 20-inch format (Boze Clutch rims in 9 × 20 and 14 × 20, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 in 245/35 ZR20 & 345/30 ZR20), which, with its highly polished finish, goes perfectly with the shiny chrome Attachments fit. Thus, US car fans immediately feel transported back to the old days, which they mostly never experienced themselves.
two-tone interior with modern touches
Body-colored dashboard & steering wheel, white leather interior, Dakota digital dash, Lokar shifter, mirror-polished trim, Vintage Air conditioning
Not only turquoise accents in the Interior, but also modern components, like the sound system from Rockford & Fosgate with 400 W four-channel amplifier, as well as the digital instrumentation testify to the care and effort that the Restomod forge has put into combining the flair of the post-war period with modern elements.
6,2-liter supercharged V8 petrol engine with breathtaking power
Custom air intake, Ultimate header, ATI bottom pulley, Tanks fuel system
The engine, which is used in the Corvette C7 Z06, for example, has incredible power 649 PS and an insane torque of 881 Newton meters. The power is transmitted via a state-of-the-art automatic transmission (eight-speed automatic transmission GM 8L90), which also comes from the GM shelf. Unfortunately, we have no information on the performance, but the classic should hardly know any opponents on the quarter mile. Of course that was too Bremsanlage renewed (6-piston calipers, perforated and slotted discs), and there come now Disc brakes from the Willwood company, which bring the classic car to a standstill even at high speeds.
