Heavily pimped: Project Cars Ford Bronco Outer Banks!

The team of experts from Projekt Cars, which has been regularly present at the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas for years and always comes up with different vehicles, brought several Ford Broncos to the gambling metropolis of Nevada. One special model impressed primarily with its off-road capabilities and a large number of other modifications. The Ford Bronco Outer Banks! Projekt Cars has increased the Bronco's chassis by an impressive six inches. The kit used for this and the new coilover struts come from Belltech. The 15×37R12,5 Atturo off-road tires with deep tread are also ideal for driving in sand, mud or over rocky terrain, and the 17-inch Raceline rims impress with their matt black finish and Y-shaped spokes. To avoid damage and to score points visually, they are equipped with bright green Alloygator rim protectors.

Should the Bronco become stuck or need to assist another vehicle, it is equipped with a warningwinch at the front and various recovery kits, which contain various useful tools, are well equipped. The winch is mounted on a heavy-duty steel bumper from 4WP, which also features a large Bullbar is provided. Completing the vehicle are matching side skirt running boards and a rear fascia from the same manufacturer.

Other eye-catchers are the bonnet attachment and, compared to the standard version, the significantly wider, visibly screwed fender, both by Air Design. With their black finishes, the new add-on parts stand out only slightly from the dark blue paintwork. On the other hand, the numerous neon green and occasionally silver sponsor logos as well as Projekt Cars lettering, which are distributed over the body, catch the eye.

with Hella LED auxiliary lights

The ones mounted in front of the A-pillar Hella LED auxiliary lights can be useful when driving off-road. Light is generally an important aspect of project cars, so upgrades to various lighting systems are also common. Thanks to a conversion kit, the daytime running lights of the headlights can now not only light up white, but also in RGB colors. A sleek black soft top also protects the interior and the occupants from the sun, rain and other weather conditions.

The Bronco is powered by the well-known 2,7-liter EcoBoost V6 with turbocharging, which delivers 335 PS & 563 Nm in standard condition. However, Project Cars has made some optimizations so that the performance values have increased. Modifications include new engine control software, a Whipple intercooler, K&N intake and a revised oil cooling system. Whipple downpipes and a Gibson performance exhaust system were also installed. In the interior of the Bronco, on the other hand, there are only rather subtle adjustments. For example, the lighting was upgraded to LED, Ultimate grab bars were attached and BlacVue security cameras were installed.

a one-of-a-kind and crowd puller at SEMA 2023

The detail adjustments in the cabin help to further improve comfort and functionality without sacrificing character. The Bronco Outer Banks from Projekt Cars is an impressive example of how targeted modifications and upgrades can be used to tailor an already powerful off-roader even better to the needs of off-road enthusiasts.
