This pitch black one Hyundai Tucson NX4 stands out from the crowd, thanks PDNR30 widebody aerodynamic kit from Prior Design, a well-known German name in the vehicle refinement scene. The kit, which we understand fits all Tucson NX4 models, transforms the humble Korean SUV into an eye-catching one Widebody monster, which can easily compete alongside established German competitors such as the BMW X1, Mercedes GLA or Audi Q3. The heart of the kit is the material: a High-quality fiberglass-Dura-Flex mixture, which brings a perfect balance of workability, flexibility and stability. The features are crucial as the kit requires a number of adjustments including the Cutting out the wheel arches rear and possibly the front fender to ensure sufficient clearance.
Hyundai Tucson NX4 with widebody kit
The PDNR30 widebody kit consists of a number of components that enhance the Tucson visually and aerodynamically. The front spoiler and the front frame contribute to improving the optics from the front and the aerodynamics at and the side skirts, directly below the doors, further strengthen the side design. The Widebody front and rear extensions also ensure a more striking and wider appearance and the kit is rounded off by a rear diffuser as well as two rear spoiler, one of which is placed on the trunk lid and the other on the roof. And if desired, the parts can also be ordered separately. The front spoiler (€495), the front frames (€270), the side skirts (€595), the extensions (€2,270), the rear diffuser (€495) and the two rear spoilers (€405 and €440) provide good combination options.
But that doesn't make it any faster!
Prior's demo vehicle also shows how Tuning Rims and a subtle one Lowering complete the picture. The complete kit results in one Final price of around EUR 4,960 – an investment that fundamentally improves the appearance of the Tucson NX4. However, it is clear that the kit does not provide any improvement in performance. The fastest Tucson models, HEV and PHEV, have “only” 230 and 265 hp respectively and have an acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in more than 8 seconds sometimes well behind the 300 hp crossovers of the competition. Visually, the PDNR30 kit on the Tucson makes up for the disadvantage and catapults the Korean into a new league.
