The new Land Rover Defender takes the plunge into modernity! But justifiably, concerned traditionalists always speak up when a classic is reissued. Often the plan goes wrong like VW had to experience with the Beetle or Chrysler with the PT Cruiser. In the case of the new Land Rover Defender, however, the community can be reassured. The second generation launched about 70 years after the Defender debuted looks really good. And he off-roader can do everything better than his predecessor. Especially on paved roads and in front of the restaurant. There was a self-supporting body, a cockpit with high-end infotainment, high-resolution screens and all conceivable connectivity functions such as over-the-air updates and a whole arsenal of electrical helpers.

The Triple Black Edition by KAHN®

In our opinion, the body was smoothed a little too much, but the proportions, the silhouette and the contrasting roof should make the Defender unmistakably recognizable. And that is the British tuner Kahn Design with a subsidiary Chelsea Truck Company, buttoning the new one naturally goes without saying. After all, there have been countless Gen1s in the past few decades. Defender rebuilt and some crazy creations like that Long nose or Flying Huntsman 6 × 6 created. And now there is a first careful upgrade for the new one from 2020! In the form of the Land Rover Defender 110 Chelsea Truck Launch Edition. The tuning program wraps chrome or silver details in black on request and a darkening of the windows is also available. The highlight at the moment are definitely the different alloy wheels in up to 23 inches. The type 23 RS-Forged in Satin Black or Shadow Chrome is available in the 52 inch format, the Pace Car RS23 Lightweight in BiColor optics is available in the 650 inch format, there is also the RS-2 Light and finally in the 22 inch format the RS Forged in black.

23 inches are with 305/30/23 tires

The 23 inchers are equipped with 305/30/23 tires and the dimensions for the 22 inch format have not yet been given to us. And, on request, a significantly revised cabin can be added to the exterior changes. For the interior there are the well-known leather equipment with a mixture of quilted and perforated leather and a few small details as we already know from other vehicles from the Kahn repertoire. While the modifications are still very small, it is already clear that the Chelsea Truck Company is working intensively on other parts for the individualization of the new model. If we receive timely information on this, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
