The automotive world is rich in icons and the Mercedes-AMG GT has definitely found its place in it. But what happens when the already impressive Sprotler gets an additional refinement? HS Motorsport from Eching near Munich shows us. Although the production of the first generation AMG GT has already stopped, and a few days ago its successor presented in California, the "old" model has lost none of its charm. In fact, HS Motorsport breathes new life into the AMG GT and gives it a special touch. The main focus of the refinement is on the new wheels. The E1FF rims from Elegance Wheels, a classic of the brand, were chosen for the tuning.

With dimensions of 9 × 20 in forward and fierce 10,5 × 21 in at the back they form the perfect contrast to the white paintwork of the GT. The modern black finish of the Alus gives the whole thing a contemporary, almost futuristic look. The ensemble is rounded off by Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, which are dimensioned with 265/30 ZR20 at the front and 295/25 ZR21 at the rear. But the changes go far beyond the exterior. The performance of the AMG GT has also been improved. Thanks one Software Optimization the 4,0-liter M178 biturbo V8 engine was powered up 638 PS and a torque of 820 Nm tuned. That's a significant increase compared to the standard 476 hp and 630 Nm.

But that's not all. The sound that comes from the two rectangular tubes not only makes the hearts of car enthusiasts beat faster. The sonorous and deep tone is one Akrapovič sports exhaust system which not only makes the GT sound better, but also gives it a more aggressive character. Overall, the refined AMG GT shows that even an already impressive vehicle from AMG still has room for tuning. HS Motorsport has created an athlete that impresses both in terms of aesthetics and performance. Further proof that the AMG GT, regardless of the generation, remains a fascinating vehicle.
