The Porsche 912, originally built by Porsche between 1965 and 1969 as a “cheap” entry-level model, is undergoing an extremely extensive transformation by the Hungarian company KAMM (KAMManufaktur). The newly released one 912c Restomod breaks with the traditional image of “911 of the little man“ and positions itself as a powerful yet lightweight athlete who is unparalleled in the tuning world. The greatest innovation of the 912c lies in its body: one full carbon construction reduces the overall weight of the coupe by an incredible amount 300 kg compared to the original, which reduces the weight to just 699 kg presses. The weight reduction enables an almost perfect Weight distribution of 50:50, which of course significantly improves the driving experience.

Customers have the choice between an eye-catching one Visible carbon look or a traditional paint finish, with both options emphasizing the characteristic appearance of the 912c.
There is a strong one under the trunk lid 2,0-liter engine with electronic fuel injection and throttle, the impressive 190 PS performs. In other words, it has more than twice the output of the original 1,6-liter engine in the 356 SC. The air-cooled unit achieves a maximum speed of 7.200 rpm, which further underlines the sporty nature of the 912c. KAMM has not only worked on the performance and weight, but also integrated modern details. The improvements for the 2024 model year include aerodynamic refinements, there is a modern one Cooling, a high quality sound system in combination with improved connectivity and even new ones Seat options, which further increase the comfort and functionality of the 912c. And for customers who prefer a slightly heavier version, KAMM also offers one Semi-carbon configuration which weighs approx. 750 kilograms.
as expected not cheap
Prices for the models that have been revised compared to the 2023 vehicles start at EUR 360.000 or EUR 320.000 if a donor vehicle is provided. With deliveries planned for early 2024, KAMM promises that no two vehicles will be the same - so each one is unique. The original Porsche 912, of which almost 30.000 coupés and around 2.500 Targas were built in five years of production, has been modified in this way and is enjoying an impressive renaissance in the modern era. The Porsche 912c Restomod from KAMM is much more than just a homage to a classic model, it is a reinvention that combines performance, lightweight construction and luxury in a fascinating and, in our eyes, extremely desirable form.
