It is well known that a little more power is always possible! Especially when it comes to the current Ford Mustang GT. And the ultimate proof of that is the Ford Mustang shown here, also known as the Beasty Mustang 5.0. It was built in 2016 and wears a striking camouflage wrap from WRAPworks. But it only comes into its own because the vehicle was given a beefy body kit. And that of Vaughn Gittin Jr. and its company RTR Vehicles. The US American Driftstar has been manufacturing its own vehicle components and completely rebuilt vehicles for several years, including the body kit. Most of the parts are produced in cooperation with Ford and can even be ordered from selected Ford dealerships. Yes, back to the WRAPworks vehicle. The company, headed by Timo Lohmeier, installed the powerful wide body fender set all around and the RTR radiator grille above and below is also installed.

WRAPworks has upgraded the kit with additional components. For example with an adjustable front splitter from APR Performance and a huge Anderson Composites hood with quick-release fasteners, air vents and power domes. Incidentally, the hood and splitter are made entirely of carbon. At the rear there was a spoiler lip and a Roush Performance rear diffuser with indicated fins and a central LED light. The changes to the body are made with Roush Performance Window Scoops (Fairings for the rear side windows) rounded. And since we are currently at "round", we must of course also mention the new wheelset. Since the conversion, the widened wheelhouses have been turning Ferrada FR8-Alus in the format 10,5 × 20 in front and 12 × 20 inches in the back. The wheel set is in matte graphite and is equipped with Michelin tires in the dimensions 295/30 and 325/30 ZR20.

The black rims are eye catchers Barracuda Racing Nuts Mistake. For the chassis, WRAPworks relies on an ST suspensions XTA coilover kit with stabilizer kit, there was also a Ford Performance strut bar and a Steeda strut on the rear axle is also installed. The latter provide additional body reinforcement. And the new wheelset has a lot to do on the rear axle. After all, the Mustang received a significant increase in performance. The five-liter V421 with 8 hp ex works got a new intake manifold from the facelift model, there was a JLT Air Intake System and chip tuning as well as a manifold with HJS catalysts from Schropp vehicle technology. Sportkats Incidentally, lead to a BCE Deep sports exhaust system, which with four large carbon-coated tailpipes lets the soundscape sound appropriately.

Shift travel shortening and aluminum cardan shaft

The result is just over 500 hp, which are kept in check by means of the neon yellow painted Brembo brake system with large perforated discs and Yellowstuff pads from EBC. And there was also an individual touch in the interior. The Mustang got a newly padded steering wheel with neon yellow decorative stitching, there was a powder-coated Wiechers club sports bar in the completely empty rear and also SchrothHarness belts, a foil for the trim strips in carbon look and a Roush gear knob are included. The latter is linked to a 25 percent reduction in gearshift travel from Barton and a one-piece aluminum cardan shaft.
