With the BMW X3 M (F97, G01), the Munich-based company has a real steam hammer in its range below the X5 M. An extremely fast SUV that still has a certain off-road capability and easily in the league of Mercedes AMG GLC63 and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Verde (QV) plays. In contrast to the Benz, however, not with a 4,0-liter V8 under the hood, but rather at the level of the Stelvio. The Italian specimen has one 2,9-liter twin-turbo V6 and the X3 M is known to have one In-line six-cylinder with 3,0 liters displacement on board. In series production both own 510 PS.
BMW X3 M vs. Stelvio QV, M4 F82 & G80 M3
However, the following race persists not from two production vehicles, instead it shows two heavily modified SUVs. The BMW owns around 700 PS and +800 NM torque and the Alfa has approx. 620 little horse. The latter got one Stage 2 ECU tuning in the form of a set of others down pipes and a Chiptuning. The BMW holds up against it with even more power and should in theory be the faster vehicle. But is that true? Will it be enough to keep up with the Alfa? And how does the X3 M fare against a 600 hp engine BMW F82 M4 and in the end even against the new one G80 M3? The video gives the resolution!
