Actually ABT Sportsline but only a month ago ABT RS4 Avant with 510 PS presented or? That's right, but already with the presentation of the potent Ingolstadt promised ABT CEO Hans-Jürgen Abt: "In Geneva, we have a little surprise in this regard“! And the surprise is the ABT RS4-R that will be at the start in Geneva and, as we suspected, the performance of the RS5-R had received. Finally, Audi installed the VW EA839 V6 biturbo with factory 450 PS & 600 NM in both vehicles. And not only the performance of the RS4-R is on par with the RS5-R, the look also adapts clearly to the elegant coupe. The RS4-R also comes with a real carbon body kit which also includes the completely black front grille including the ABT emblem.

The real carbon front lip, which is perfectly adapted to the RS bumper and completely envelops it, is sporty and chic. In addition, the bumper of the RS4-R gets two front flics on the right and left which round off the dynamic appearance and are of course made of carbon. In addition to the upscale appearance, all components also have a practical advantage because they ensure improved aerodynamics of the RS4-R. By the way, there were also the striking gills on the side of the fenders that the RS5-R also carries. The rear is impressively staged by a real carbon rear apron insert.

And already from the vehicle from the beginning of February we know the beautiful concave ABT SPORT GR 21 inch (also available in 20 inch) 10-spoke alloy wheels with glossy black paint and white PinStripe which are equipped with ultra-thin 275/25 ZR21 low-profile high-performance tires. The RS4-R can also put on these shoes and thanks to the revised standard chassis, the wheelset sits perfectly in the wheel arch. The factory chassis is perfected by ABT with in-house sport stabilizers and coilover springs. But it will soon be the same for the RS4-R KW automotive developed coilover suspension with special ABT damper tuning.
The highlight is definitely under the hood. through ABT Engine Control and a new intercooler, the performance of the RS4 increases to a significant 530 hp (450 series) and a massive 690 Newton meters (600 series) and so it is on par with the coupe and trumps the "normal" ABT RS4 by another 20 hp. The extra power is enough to accelerate the chic Avant to 3,8 km / h in just 100 seconds. And anyone who knows ABT Sportsline knows that the interior is also an eye catcher.
There is an individual interior with partial leather seats including RS4-R logos, an ABT gear knob cover made of carbon and many other extras. With the crazy 2018 Audi RS6 + PROJECT PHOENIX by Jon Olsson ABT Sportsline had equipped their in-house FR aluminum rims in 21 inches with an aero ring from Formula E. Visually, this design is completely new and the attached ring even has a positive effect on the aerodynamics of the bike. Then yesterday the company published the ABT RS4-R with the GR rim on its Facebook timeline and this also received the distinctive ring. This ring can be individually equipped with different designs and if you follow the reactions on the internet, ABT can't really help but bring this part into the series.
