Alpha Ace - electric coupé with retro design from the USA!

A few days ago the Californian start-up alpha motor corporation the electric "Alpha Ace" presents. Everything is currently still virtual with the status of a design study, serial production is already planned if there is enough interest. Visually, the Alpha Ace has an angular retro design with powerful wheel arch extensions all around. For the virtual copy there was a painting in the so-called Blue seraph, that shimmers bluish depending on the incidence of light. Incidentally, the Alpha Ace is based on a modular platform. Even Alpha’s next project should build on it. That should then be an electric SUV with a name Icon be. So far, there are only dark teaser pictures of him.

somewhere between Audi A3 & Q2

But back to the Alpha Ace, the stately one by the way 1,6 tons should weigh. At 4,18 meters, the dimensions are somewhat below an Audi A3 and at 1,45 meters high. Although the first impression suggests a small SUV, it is a Coupe. Albeit a visually rather idiosyncratic with flush integrated door openers and a strange rear. But apparently one, the one in terms of load volume with an Audi A3 at least can keep up. Because under the front hood and behind the tailgate can allegedly stow up to 400 liters of luggage. In the angular cockpit, however, it looks pretty spartan. There is a metal look that matches the exterior paintwork and the doors come with it Zuziehschlaufen closed instead of normal door openers. Similar to the R50 Mini, all the essential information can be seen in the center of the console.

Large driver display and nothing more?

Here is a big one color display built in that apparently all the important information including the speed indicates. But is not Head-Up Display built in, then you have to constantly look in the middle. Will it be so popular? Little information is known about the drive. The retro runabout should be roughly six seconds to 100 km / h speed up and rear-wheel drive have. What kind of electric motor is installed, but that is so far not known. The batteries supposedly last over 400 kilometers. The price is also unknown! If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
