AUDI RS3 Tuning from SPORTEC to RS 550

Reading time <1 Min.

The tuner SPORTEC Motorsport, which is based in Switzerland, has taken on the Audi RS3 and gives the Ingolstadt-based significantly more power. Thanks to the in-line five-cylinder turbo engine, the Audi RS3 has mutated into a popular tuning object. Even the production version pushes ahead with a remarkable 2.5 liters displacement and a powerful 340 hp and 450 Nm torque.

The model shown here, named SPORTEC RS 550, has little in common with the series. Sportec installed its own turbocharger and intercooler. The intake paths of the SPORTEC RS 550 have also been changed compared to the series. In conjunction with new high-performance spark plugs and a loud sports exhaust system as well as a new pipe elbow, half of the extra power has already been achieved. Of course, for the rest of the power, the software of the engine and the transmission must also be adapted. Sportec has done this and now achieves 550 hp and 550 Nm torque with the SPORTEC RS 650. The sprint to 100 km / h only takes 3,4 seconds and the electronic end is only at 300 km / h. We have listed the optical and other technical changes for you:

  • Contrast in white metallic paint and black
  • black grill
  • black air intake elements
  • discreet applications on the exterior
  • longitudinal black stripes on the bonnet
  • blue-painted SPORTEC brake calipers
  • Lettering on the side panel
  • Fully variable Haldex coupling
  • quattro drive
  • Vmax raised to Tempo 300

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
