Did you know that in the 90 years Audi asked the manufacturer Porsche to build the RS2 station wagon? One had the idea to combine a practical avant with the performance of a sports car. The result was the then fastest standard wagon. Most important details are the 17-Zoll-Leichtmetallräder of the Porsche Cup, turn signals, mirrors and fog lights of the 964er and a large brake system of the 968. Under the hood, there was the fantastic 2,2-liter 20V five-cylinder with K24 loader that sends impressive 315 PS to all four wheels via Quattro drive. The engine received Porsche lettering on the cylinder head and there was even an RS emblem that actually represents the spearhead of Porsche.

Even today, the acceleration of 5,8 seconds to 100 km / h is still impressive what applies to the 262 km / h top speed as well. Since you should order a current S4 to annoy the RS2. In view of ca 1.600 kg empty weight desperate but even a S4 if he on this copy of the tuner ABT Sportsline meets. They have also put on the legendary RS2 hand and provide by means of stainless steel exhaust system, modified loader and adjustable camshaft for an increase in performance on impressive 360 PS. And in a photo shoot with a current ABT RS4 + you have scanned the ABT RS2 on an airfield. Apart from the engine, the rest of the RS2 seems almost untouched. The Audi 80 Avant type B4 / 8C (internally also called P1 -> P for Porsche) continues to wear the stylish Porsche wheelset and enjoys red brake calipers.

there were even 4 Audi RS2 sedans

The RS2 have after the official launch on the 19. March 1994 and at the price of almost 100.000 Mark 2891 enthusiasts called their own and as far as we know there were even four RS2 sedans. Two of them have disappeared somewhere in the United Arab Emirates and one is in the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt. Information about the number 4, however, are not known. For info on the scanned ABT RS4 + Avant are known. He is only 50 x and he impresses with carbon aerodynamic package, 530 PS and send 21 forged wheels. The copy of the family reunion also shines in the gorgeous Misano red and should be just over 30.000 € more expensive than a standard RS4 Avant. As soon as we get some more information about the rare ABT Avant RS2, there is of course an update for this report.
