Below we show the next dying example of the genus of two-door coupes. An automotive icon is about to be discontinued and is now ringing with one Final edition her farewell. We're talking about the Audi TT. Launched in 1997, the idiosyncratic two-door car, whose design is still inspired by the VW Beetle, became a real bestseller. For more than three generations, the TT was the sporty flagship of the brand below the R8 when it came to affordable driving fun. But the constantly shrinking market for two-door models is forcing Audi to take the radical step of scrapping one of its most sensational models of recent decades. But before the TT family disappears from the market, there is the Final Edition for the British market.
Various variants available!
To say goodbye to the legend, Audi UK is offering various variants as a Final Edition. It doesn't matter whether it's a coupé or a roadster, there's something for every taste. The special features include a styling package, which includes black badges, black exhaust tips, black door mirrors and a fixed rear spoiler. The Roadster models are equipped with black roll bars and a black wind deflector. The standard variants come with 20-inch alloy wheels in five-spoke Y design, while the more powerful TTS Final Edition models get seven-spoke alloy wheels with anthracite and gloss black finishes, also in the 20-inch format. There is also a choice of three paint finishes in the form of tango red, glacier white and chronos grey.
The interior is classy!
Of course, the cockpit of the special edition is richly equipped. There are leather-covered door panels, leather door handles and a leather-covered center console. The steering wheel, on the other hand, shines with an Alcantara wreath with red decorative stitching and red 12 o'clock marker. It looks extremely sporty. Furthermore, the last series is equipped with the MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch and Audi Connect infotainment services, and the standard Comfort & Sound package includes a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a reversing camera and parking sensors.
Our conclusion:
- Prices start at £41,910 for the 40TFSI coupe and go up to £56,435 for the TTS roadster. A fair price and we are sure that we will have fond memories of the TT.
