Video: 2020 Porsche 911 (992) Carrera S vs. 600 hp BMW X3 M Competition

Can a tuned BMW X3 M SUV keep up with a current Porsche 911 in a drag race? This copy YES! It is a modified X3 M Competition (F97) that has to compete against a brand new 911 Carrera S (922). The video comes from the “Track Day” team and shows the unequal duel. The 992 Porsche 911 is one of the most impressive sports cars ever built. Because it comes from the factory with the ultimate driving dynamics combined with always sufficient power. And this copy has a 3,0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with two turbochargers, which is delivered with 450 PS and 530 NM torque as the Carrera S with 7-speed manual transmission or 8-speed dual clutch transmission (PDK). It sprints from 3,5 to 0 km / h in around 100 seconds and should be difficult to crack for the BMW X3 M Performance. But the performance SUV from the video is different. The S58 six-cylinder (is also installed in the new BMW M3) has installed stage 1 tuning and a fuel with more ethanol content. The result is approx. 600 hp on the wheels and the guarantee for an exciting duel.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
