Soon (possibly early 2023) the new M2 is coming and until then the rumor mill will probably continue to boil diligently. Will it have up to 490 hp? Does it also get the controversial XXL kidneys and, as a competition model, does it maybe even have fat 20 inch wheels? Questions that we cannot answer either. However, we can say what the tuner B&B automotive technology can host with the current M2 CS. He can make him significantly stronger! And with one 4-stage engine program. It includes in Stage 1 (485 hp / 640 Nm) the modification of the engine electronics in connection with a slight boost pressure increase of approx. 0,2 bar as well as the change of the torque limitation. In Stage 2 (503 hp / 675 Nm) the intake paths and the air ducts are then optimized, the boost pressure increased by approx. 0,25 bar and the electronic engine control adapted to the changes.
BMW M2 CS (Series 450 PS & 550 Nm)
• Step 1 to 485 hp / 640 Nm
• Level 2 to 503 hp / 675 Nm
• Step 3 to 530 hp / 700 Nm
• Level 4 to 550 hp / 720 Nm
Stage 3 (530 hp / 700 Nm) In addition to the other two stages, it includes a special high-performance charge air cooler made of light metal, which can better process the higher charge air pressures thanks to its cast aluminum body. In addition, it enables significantly improved charge air cooling thanks to its more efficient network. In Level 4 become special in addition to the other three levels down pipes with two Sport catalysts installed, which significantly reduce the exhaust back pressure and the exhaust gas temperature. For this purpose, the boost pressure and the turbocharger are adjusted and the electronic engine control is tuned to the changes. The results are violent 550 PS & 720 NM torque. That's enough to get by 0 at 200 km / h in 11,8 instead of 13,5 seconds to sprint. And to further optimize the driving characteristics and the look of the M2 CS, B&B has an adjustable one Threaded sport spring set on offer, which allows the bodywork to be lowered between approx. 5 mm and approx. 25 mm. Alternatively there is also a Sport springs, which achieves a fixed height reduction of approx. 25 mm on the front axle and on the rear axle. Also are available Wheel spacers incl. special wheel bolts FA / RA 30 mm to widen the track width of the standard wheels and thus improve the road holding and the optics.
B&B / KW Clubsport coilovers V4
If you want even more, you can achieve a significant improvement in driving behavior by using the B&B / KW Clubsport coilovers V4. The coilover kit, which is fully adjustable in terms of height, rebound and compression, is, so to speak, the optimum in terms of the chassis of the M2 CS on the part of B&B. It enables significantly higher cornering speeds and contributes significantly to greater driving safety. And finally ... Who needs the new M2?
