Since 1972 the BMW 5 Series has been the epitome of the sporty and driver-oriented sedan in the upper middle class. Of course, many BMW and tuning fans also know this and there are numerous refined BMW five-seaters of all model generations on the streets worldwide. And of course there is also a special long version for the Chinese market, which has been extended by 13 cm, which above all benefits the legroom in the rear. BMW is producing this version, which is not available in Europe, from its Chinese partner Brilliance at the BMW Brilliance plant in Shenyang. Even if the long version is actually intended for comfort-spoiled managers, that doesn't mean that you can't really pimp it up.

Even the matt black foiling makes it clear that this is not an ordinary five-seater BMW, but a very special example of the Munich sports sedan. Garnished with red accents on the front and lowered with a KW V3 coilover, the sporty styling, which is already available as standard, is further enhanced. There are also glossy black aluminum rims in 19-inch format. At the rear, the sports exhaust system is immediately noticeable, which with four M5-style tailpipes suggests powerful sportiness and is one of the highlights of the very special 530Li. The optical highlight, however, is the big one Airbrush on the inside of the bonnet, which is kept in manga style and is supposed to symbolize a devil. This work of art is unique and we have never seen another BMW that has been decorated so high-quality at this point. The small spoiler lip that is emblazoned on the trunk lid is almost lost in the mass of tuning measures. Last but not least, there are AP9960 calipers, which are painted in different colors, and live behind the shiny black rims, on the car, which ensure decent deceleration values ​​when the driver or chauffeur is traveling a little faster.

Under the artfully designed hood works a petrol-powered 2-liter four-cylinder engine with turbocharging, which generates a tight 252 HP and rather moderate 350 Newton meters of maximum torque. The 530Li storms from 6,2 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds and the end is only at 250 kilometers per hour. These are values ​​that are quite impressive, even if they are far from an M5, which this specimen skillfully imitates. The power transmission takes place via an eight-stage automatic system with a torque converter and manual intervention. It ensures superior comfort and is not overwhelmed even with a sporty, dynamic driving style.
