If you have a classic BMW 8er E31 tune? And then also the particularly rare 840 Ci with 4,0-liter M60B40 V8 and 286 PS & 400 NM under the hood? Absolutely! This bright red luxury liner from days long past shows why. Specifically, it is one 840ci from 1994, which is visually essentially identical to the 850Ci. The vehicle got but a large amount of modifications. And the biggest one is under the hood. The M60B40 was thrown out and instead he takes care of it S62 5 liter V8 engine from the M5 E39 for propulsion. And since the conversion, the engine is no longer a pure sucker. Because the V8 got one ESS compressor on top. The 8-series E31 is shifted using Six-speed manual, albeit a special variant of Dinan. And the YouTuber Beemer family had the opportunity to unofficial M8 to try out.

By the way, the vehicle has no rear seats and none headliner more built around to reduce weight and the seats are those Vader seats an E36 M3. The 8 Series E31 has since the conversion with engine Swap So roughly the performance of a current M8 Competition (about 620 PS), but is almost 30 years older. Other tuning parts are one Dinan sports exhaust system, there was a Fire Extinguisher, H&R landing gear , and a differentialcoming out of an E36 M3.

You have one more Rear brace in the trunk installed, which is based on a MINI Cooper. The optical highlight is clearly the BBS wheelset, behind which a modified Bremsanlage sits. Incidentally, the video shows a second 8-series E31, which is completely wrapped in black optics and also has an M5 V8 under the hood. However, without a compressor. Enjoy watching!
