BMW i5 Nostokana: Revolutionary E-Ink Art Car by Esther Mahlangu!

The BMW i5 Nostokana marks successful progress in the application of the E Ink technology, by merging it with the world of art. The work of art on wheels, named after the South African artist's son Esther Mahlangu, gives the concept of the BMW Art Car a completely new dimension. Using E-Ink, the fiver's outer skin becomes dynamic, allowing it to change color and display Mahlangu's signature vibrant patterns at the touch of a button. The E-ink foil of i5 Nostokana consists of millions of microcapsules filled with colored particles. By applying an electrical voltage, the arrangement of the particles changes, which can create different color impressions. Compared to the previous one Vision Dee show car, which was equipped with 240 foil segments and a limit of 32 colors per segment, the i5 Nostokana presents with its 1.349 film segments cut by laser represents a significant advance. The segments can be controlled individually, which enables an unprecedented level of detail and variety of colors.
