BMW M5 Competition 50 Years M Edition for India (F90)!

The advantages of a BMW M model are also appreciated on the subcontinent. The understated sportiness of the current M5 (F90) is loved all over the world, and the sales figures confirm the love of many sporty drivers for M models from Bavaria. This year, in which M GmbH is celebrating its 50th anniversary, the decision was made in Munich to launch special versions for the Indian market, which is currently one of the largest growth markets for premium vehicles. Now we introduce you the eighth model of the special series, which is a BMW M5 Competition acts, who got a few subtleties along the way.

Red racer for India.

It is striking that the special model is not based on the basic model of the current M5, but on the sharper one Competition variant. For example, the Aventurine Red called color, which is part of the BMW Individual catalogue, catches the eye. There is also a black one for the special edition Kidney grill, on which the number 50 can be read. Additional modifications include black ones Mirrors and a little black one rear spoiler. Furthermore, the tailpipes of the four-pipe exhaust system in black chrome, while the laser main headlights can be seen as a shadow line. Last but not least are still M5 Competition emblems at the front, side and rear, which indicate that this is not a "normal" five-series BMW.

Luxurious interior and various goodies

Although official photos of the interior have not yet been released, we already know that the special edition will have a Merino full leather interior available in Aragon Brown. For this is the headliner kept in anthracite. Other equipment highlights are special belts, a M Performance footrest, M Performance Pedals as well as a special one M Performance sports steering wheel. There is one more Four-zone automatic climate control, which increases comfort. There is an adaptive one for this Suspension called M Adaptive Suspension, which has a special track mode to get the best possible performance from the two-ton truck.

4,4-liter V8 petrol engine with biturbo charging

In just 3,3 seconds storms the M5, whose V8 whopping 625 PS & 750 Newton meters maximum torque is generated from zero to 100 km/h. Actually unbelievable when you consider that it is a four-door sedan in the upper middle class. The top speed is on 250 km/h limited. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. A special edition that underlines the importance of future markets like India in the planning of the BMW Group. From our point of view, however, it is a pity that the limited edition is not available worldwide, but only on the subcontinent.
