AC Schnitzer tuning on the BMW M440i Gran Coupe (G26)!

After the team around the tuner AC Schnitzer already a few weeks ago Program for the electric BMW i4 had presented, you now follow with the combustion engine. Curtain up for that BMW M440i Gran Coupe (G26) by Schnitzer. And the BMW specialists based in Aachen had relatively little trouble with the vehicle. At least as far as the components for the body are concerned. After all, the Gran Coupe with a combustion engine under the hood is the basis for the electric i4. The body is largely identical to that of the M440i. In other words, many of those presented in August components also fit the 4 Series Gran Coupé of the G26 series.

Aerodynamic body parts

Schnitzer installed elegant ones on the M440i Gran Coupé from the pictures on the front apron spoiler elements, a sporty one front splitter as well as additional Side wings. At the rear you rely on the well-known Roof spoiler and also the Carbon spoiler lip can be seen on the trunk lid of the i4. And in this case, too, it is made of small Side Wings flanked on the right and left of the side wall. There is only a difference with regard to the rear apron. Because on ACS4 4.0i mentioned Gran Coupe is a classic Rear apron in diffuser look (OEM-BMW) with four tailpipes installed. But more on that later. More details are lateral "AC Schnitzer" lettering and also one Rear apron protective film is available. The changes are also made with the in-house AC4 rims (8,5×20 & 9,5×20 inches, 255/35 & 265/35) or the variant AC1 (19 or 20 inches) rounded. Both types are in different finishes available.

Performance increases and lowering

And for the M440i, in contrast to the i4, there is also a classic one performance increase using chip tuning. And from 374 PS & 500 Nm to tight 420 PS & 600 Nm. And of course you can hear the upgrade under the hood too. That makes it possible AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer made of stainless steel, which ends in two twin tailpipes that are either coated with carbon or have a black finish. And so that the extra power consistently hits the road, Schnitzer takes care of it springs ensures that the Gran Coupe is lowered by around 20 to 30 millimeters. With typical Schnitzer details such as a black anodized Shift paddle setto Aluminum pedals or a cover for the iDrive controller the tuning parts are rounded off.
