The high performance engine of the new BMW X5 M, the new BMW X6 M and the Competition models is combined with an 8 gear M Steptronic gearbox with Drivelogic, whose gearshift characteristic can be varied using the Drivetogic button on the M specifically designed gear selector. The model-specific coordinated all-wheel system M xDrive ensures a sovereign transmission of the drive torque to the road as well as optimum traction and driving stability on unpaved terrain or in adverse weather conditions.
