BMW XM (G09) Label Red - with 748 PS & 1.000 NM the strongest "M"!

The BMW XM Label Red is based on the wishes and needs of a global target group of individualists with a sense for an extroverted lifestyle and a passion for absolute top performance in an automobile that goes beyond traditional conventions. It will be manufactured at the US BMW Group plant in Spartanburg from August 2023. During this period, an exclusive edition of the top model, limited to 500 units, will also be available with a body finish in BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black metallic. The BMW XM Label Red will have its world premiere in April 2023 at the Auto Shanghai international trade fair. Like the USA and the Middle East, the Chinese automotive market is one of the most important sales regions for the BMW-XM Label Red, which can be ordered from retailers from April 28, 2023.

M HYBRID system with extreme and precisely controlled power.

The M HYBRID system of the BMW XM Label Red is impressive proof of the fascination associated with the electrification of the drive for high-performance automobiles from BMW M GmbH. The precisely controlled interaction of an e-machine with a V8 combustion engine ensures extremely spontaneous, vehemently developing power delivery that continues right up to the highest engine speed range. This combination of two engines corresponds to the drive concept of the new long-distance racing vehicle BMW M Hybrid V8, which made its successful debut in the North American IMSA series at the 24 Hours of Daytona and next year also competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours start will go.

With a system output increased to 550 kW/748 hp, the new top version exceeds the value of the BMW XM, which has been in production since December 2022, by 70 kW/95 hp. The system torque has been increased by 200 Nm and now reaches a maximum of 1 Nm. Power is transferred to the road via the M xDrive all-wheel drive system. In conjunction with a model-specific chassis technology and a drive and chassis control that acts both quickly and precisely, a unique performance experience with dynamics and agility on a completely new level is created.

V8 engine with the latest M TwinPower Turbo technology and classic high-rev characteristics.

The M HYBRID system of the BMW XM Label Red combines the forward-looking advantages of electrification with the traditional qualities of an eight-cylinder combustion engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology and high-speed characteristics. In the latest generation, the V8 drive is characterized by particularly spontaneous power delivery, increased efficiency and optimized emission behavior. In addition to the cross-bank exhaust manifold, it also has a reinforced crank mechanism, turbocharging with an electrically controlled diverter valve, an advanced oil supply system and optimized oil separation.

In the BMW XM Label Red, the V8 engine contributes an even higher share of the system performance generated together with the electric motor. At a speed of 5 rpm-1 it reaches its peak output of 430 kW/585 hp. Its maximum torque is 750 Nm, which corresponds to an increase of 100 Nm compared to the internal combustion engine of the BMW XM, and is available in the particularly wide engine speed range between 1 and 800 rpm-1 is available for storage, management and analysis.

With two electrically controlled and infinitely adjustable flaps, the sports exhaust system of the BMW XM Label Red provides an emotionally powerful, for an eight-cylinder engine extraordinarily lively and energetic accompaniment to the power delivery. The engine sound is therefore as characteristic as the appearance of the two pairs of twin tailpipes with their outlets arranged one above the other.

While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
