The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, also known as the “G-Wagen” as an abbreviation for “Off-road Vehicle”, has been on the market since 1979. Since then, however, the former military off-road vehicle, which is still produced at Magna Steyr in Austria, has changed significantly. A lot has happened around the G-Class, particularly in the area of customization. Although the basic shape remained boxy, the interior in particular can no longer be compared to what it was back then. And with regard to off-road capability, the successful G 63 4×4² version (4×4 Squared Limited Edition) far superior to the benchmark and the original G from back then. Especially the optics of a Monster trucks is tremendous. Ex works, the G 63 4×4″hoch2″ has powerful wheel arch extensions in carbon, there is a roof spoiler with LED high beam, an outer protective strip with a decorative layer in carbon optics and various other add-on parts.
Brabus B700 AMG G63 4×4
Let's continue with one Underrun protection front and rear, a spare wheel holder with a carbon cover and nice gimmicks like one Ambient lighting, which uses projectors to project the 4×4² logo onto the floor. In addition, the Über-G stands on 22-inch AMG forged wheels in a multi-spoke design, with off-road tires and comes with additional mud flaps. Other treats include an AMG high-performance brake system with 420 mm discs at the front and 380 mm discs at the rear, the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension and, of course, the mighty ones Portal axes, which allow 91 centimeters wading depth. The 2022 Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4² with 585 PS & 850 NM-V8 is now a “real AMG” and not a G 500 (422 PS & 610 Nm) like its predecessor and, in addition to the mentioned portal axles with independent front suspension, still has it Locking and permanent four-wheel drive. However, the ground clearance of 351 millimeters is significantly lower than that of the predecessor, which was 450 millimeters. That was the most important information about the production vehicle!
Brabus B700 Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4 Squared SUV
And now to these pitch-black vehicles from the tuner Platinum Motorsport Group. The extreme off-roader was given the Brabus B700 upgrade package and so here are the first two Brabus B700 Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4 Squared SUVs that we know of. Both vehicles are equipped with the BRABUS B700 engine upgrade and both also have a BRABUS fold system under the sheet. They are joined by BRABUS blow-off valves, there was a BRABUS front apron with additional LED lights and the front is adorned with a BRABUS front grille with carbon surround and red BRABUS B logo, which is even illuminated. The carbon bonnet also comes from Brabus. But that's not all. Because something has also happened in the interior. Here is a BRABUS interior with chic Door lock pins, Sports pedals, illuminated door sills made of carbon, BRABUS floor mats and even two 12-inch (approx. 30 cm) subwoofers are installed.
According to Platinum, there are currently no other BRABUS components on the market than the ones installed. But the complete Brabus upgrade for the G 2023 63×4² of the W 4A model generation should already be available in March/April 463. One of the vehicles from the video with satin black PPF foil costs, as far as we know, an incredible 645.000 US dollars. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
