Yesterday there was the (almost) classic BMW E46 M3 from California Wheels and today it goes back a generation! We discovered a BMW E36 M3 that was produced from 1990 (E36 Limo) to the year 2000 (Compact). The E36 was not only an extremely successful series, the angular 3 Series is still a popular tuning object in the tuning scene for which, among others, Rieger Tuning still has extensive tuning parts in stock. And this bright red E36 Coupe has been modified really extensively.

Of course it is a "real" M3 and it is even the version with S1995-B50 in-line six-cylinder and standard 32 PS & 321 NM, built from 350. The highlight of the conversion is of course the fat wide body kit. It is a complete body kit including front bumper with spoiler sword, new rear apron, large rear wing, roof spoiler, and of course the massive wheel arch extensions front and rear. The body kit is rounded off with customized side skirts that ensure the harmonious lines of the wide wheel arches.

Not to be missed, of course, the set headlamps front of the ensures that the E36 looks much more evil through narrow eyes in the world. Incidentally, headlight covers were typical of the 90 years and only just disappeared 20 years later slowly but surely from the tuning scene. From time to time you can still see them on different vehicles. Equipped with the body kit, the M3 stands much beefier on the tarmac and lets a little M3 GTR racing car feel through. Visually discreet, however, are the rear flags, as well as on the hood, applied checkered flags and the Rieger logo on the sides.

And of course it goes without saying that the M3 also gets new alloy wheels and a modified chassis. There is a significant lowering by means of KW variant 2 coilover suspension which ensures that the OZ Superleggera 3 alloy wheels in 18 inch sit perfectly in the body extensions. The width of the rims is expectedly opulent with 8,5 inch front and 11 inch rear. Equipped are the visible screwed 6 double-spoke multi-dividers with slippers in 245 / 35 and 285 / 30 format. If you look closely, you will also recognize a modified brake system. Here there was a Tarox brake system for better deceleration values which is provided on the front axle with 10 piston calipers.

Since the S50 in-line six-cylinder is a purely naturally aspirated engine, the options for increasing performance are of course limited. Nevertheless, the engine delivers a whopping 326 hp, which is certainly also attributable to the Eisenmann rear silencers. By the way, if you want to know what a classic six-cylinder without turbo-frills looks like, you just have to look at the hood because an image of the engine was immortalized here using an airbrush. If we get more details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
