It is probably a big dream of many car fans to be able to pilot a hypercar like a Bugatti Veyron. Unfortunately, this is only a dream for most tuning fans of the world, because you have to be born with a golden spoon in your mouth to be able to enjoy a real Bugatti if you are not taking the SupercarBlondie career path, which one presents itself on YouTube with the most exclusive automobiles in the world and drives them itself. But there is now a remedy for all car fans who dream of a Bugatti at night and are normally mortal, because in Japan a Veyron replica based on a 2002 Audi TT of the first generation is currently for sale.
Body testifies to creativity
The fake Bugatti, which was originally a very ordinary Audi TT, was equipped with the typical Bugatti design elements, which include, for example, the horseshoe grill and the striking two-tone paint. The headlights were also designed in the Veyron design to give the car the typical Bugatti design from the front. The black and red paint is also a color combination, which was very popular with the Bugatti Veyron. Basically, not so many modifications are necessary to turn a Audi TT into a small Bugatti Veyron clone, because Bugatti is also known to belong to the VW group, and the design line of the French luxury brand is very much based on the design line of the global company from Wolfsburg. From the rear, however, the replica is immediately recognizable as an Audi TT because the rear has not been changed significantly, except that a large rear wing in the JDM style and extremely blatant fins in the racing car style were attached. The interior was, except for the attachment of a Bugatti logo and the modification of the steering wheel (more specifically, the airbag is missing), not touched further, and has been kept largely in series.
Nothing has been changed on the engine.
The tried and tested 1,8-liter turbo gasoline engine, which was available in three output levels with 150, 180 or 225 hp, serves as the drive source. Unfortunately, it is not known what expansion stage the engine installed in the replica is, and whether it is a front-wheel or all-wheel drive model. In any case, even a first-generation Audi TT with the small 150 PS petrol engine is not necessarily underpowered and has long since stripped off the image of the secretary Ferrari, as it is on the way to becoming a real classic, which has not been tampered with and in its original condition is increasingly in demand. In case of doubt, the Bugatti is missing up to 1050 HP (Veyron Supersport vs Audi TT 1.8T).
Fake Bugatti is said to cost the equivalent of 21.095 euros.
Fortunately, the difference in price is very similar. This very special example of the now legendary Audi sports coupé is listed on carsensor.net for a mere 23.014 euros. That's not exactly little for such a craft shop that has been converted into a fake hypercar. It remains to be seen whether a buyer will actually be found for the copy, or whether the Bugatti, which is in incognito mode, will turn out to be unsaleable. The creative tuner would wish that his "project car" finds a new buyer, because so much ingenuity should normally be rewarded.
