And once again, we have an ultimate example that you should sometimes simply invest your money in a nice holiday or, if necessary, in a comprehensive service for your own vehicle not in tuning. After all, a third generation Chevrolet Camaro from 1986 should need a lot of maintenance in order to be permanently in good condition. But you can just leave that with the service and instead invest the money in a ugly body kit that tries to turn the Camaro into a Ferrari Testarossa. This is exactly what the former owner of this vehicle apparently did! The "project car" is based on an 86 Camaro and should probably be a "Camarossa".

Camarossa - hopefully a unique piece

Ok, you have to plan at least € 80.000 for a well-preserved Testarossa, while there is a well-preserved Camaro for around € 20.000. If you then add the body kit, the work performance and the changes to the interior, this should quickly add up to around € 40.000. So why not just save a few more years and then buy a real Testarossa with standard value enhancement instead of dispensing this cheese? We do not know it! What we know: The car was built by a “blacksmith” over a period of 3 years and every part of the body was handcrafted. The front hood has been lengthened, the fenders have been re-shaped and the radiator grille is also new. There was also a set of polished five-spoke rims, new side mirrors and widened fenders at the rear. The rear trunk area now has black ventilation slots but “no” engine underneath. After all, that’s in front with the Camaro! The factory Camaro taillights have been retained and are now covered with a special grille cover. And for the exhaust system, the builder has probably based himself on the F40.

the V8 has almost 500 hp

Invisible components are a new chassis with lowering springs, new shock absorbers, new trailing arms and slotted and perforated brake discs. The V8 engine got new pistons, a Holley Street Avenger carburetor, a Holley fuel pump, and even Summit Racing manifolds. The result is supposedly almost 500 hp! And the interior also makes you powerful on Testarossa. There was light brown leather, a typical Ferrari gear lever and an open shift gate for the five-speed manual transmission. In addition, a sports steering wheel, a new sound system and a lot of fake Ferrari emblems. The result? A disaster! We know of course that "Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder". However, we have examined the vehicle extensively and have come to the conclusion that it definitely belongs in our tuning fail category because WE do not consider it beautiful. What is your opinion about this? Beautiful or not so beautiful? Please leave a comment here!

Of course that had not happened yet!
