Can you still remember the spectacular 570PS strong AC Schnitzer ACL2 BMW M235i recall? An extreme conversion that not only included the M4 F82 S55 engine but also gave it an increase in performance to insane 570 PS and that with an empty weight of only 1450 kg. A complete widebody kit, new alloy wheels and everything that the AC Schnitzer repertoire gave was stuffed into the sporty coupé and there was actually only one disadvantage. Namely that it was a single piece that was manufactured as a technology carrier for AC Schnitzer product development and would cost a good 149.000,00 €.
And now for the 30th anniversary of AC Schnitzer, the company has impressively demonstrated what such a technology carrier can achieve. The tuner presents the ACL2S based on the BMW M240i which easily shows the taillights of the top model M400 with an increase in performance to 600 PS & 2 NM torque.
And also the optics were completely changed and the body kit of the ACL2 was taken over to a large extent. The accessories consist of a carbon front spoiler, a front splitter, carbon front side wings, sill panels including wings, a rear roof spoiler, a carbon rear spoiler, two-part carbon rear side wings, a carbon rear diffuser and eye-catching Radhausverbreiterungen all around to ensure that the M240i grows by a whopping 80mm in width. And the chassis got a new set-up and so installed a fully adjustable coilover suspension that ensures that the front axle is lowered by about 35 mm and on the rear even 45 mm lowering be achieved. And also a set of AC Schnitzer alloy wheels in 19 inches with 235er and 265er tires is part of the complete program and ensures in combination for performance-matching driving experience.
The matt green foiling all around is also very noticeable, with ACL2S lettering indicating the special model that will only be available 30 times. And of course the interior is no longer standard because Schnitzer built in chic aluminum pedals, an aluminum handbrake lever, new floor mats, a sports steering wheel and a stainless steel badge with the words “ONE OF THIRTY” indicating the limitation. If we get even more information about the modifications to the M240i, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report. - Carbon Mirror Cover
- Rear apron foil, various ACL2S logos
- AC Schnitzer Alupedale, aluminum hand brake lever, floor mats, sports steering wheel, stainless steel badge with ONE OF THIRTY lettering
