When General Motors' engineers and designers created the C/K line of trucks, you certainly didn't expect the cargo donkeys to ever land on the drag strip. But decades later, the C/K pickup vehicles are among the most used Sleeper-Project cars and also regular guests at the SEMA Auto Show. The best example is this 1970 Chevy C10 from the video by AutotopiaLA. It has an LS3 V8 engine under the hood and also various Corvette C5 components. The idea came up in 1999 to 2000 and since then there have been various changes. Visually, the low body, racing decals and massive brakes show that the C10 is certainly no ordinary pickup. According to the owner, he had already installed several colors, different front ends, driver's cabs and loading areas in the past few years.

A standard frame sits underneath and the C10 even has a few prices to show for it. Like second place (truck class) at the 2022 DriveOptima event on the Utah Motorsports campus. This is made possible by the aforementioned LS3 engine with a good 540 hp "at the wheel“ (671 hp/680 hp) and 732 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed Tremec 6060 transmission with a McLeod RXT clutch. There was also a coilover (all around), JRi shock absorbers and a C5 Corvette brake system. And also the master cylinder, the Brake booster, the calipers and the discs (front and rear) are from the C5. You can see the rest for yourself in the video.
