Timeless Kustoms Chevrolet Corvette C1 as Restomod!

Once a crashed vehicle, this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is now a work of art Catering! And no, it's not a classic C1 Corvette (first generation), of which just over 1953 were built from 1962 to 69.000, but a very special C1. The one of a kind is from Timeless Kustoms and it is a Restomod. C1 came to the team in pieces and with a damaged front end Timeless and should receive more than just a restoration there. So the team decided to breathe new life into the Vette with modern parts. At first glance, the roadster looks like a typical 1962 Corvette, but it now has an Art Morrison chassis and modern suspension components. The front axle, for example, comes from a Corvette C6generation, while on the rear axle a three-link system from the manufacturer Watts is installed.

A Ford rear axle with a diameter of 9 inches (approx. 23 cm) is also installed. And under the hood? A small-block LT1 engine with a displacement of 6,2 liters, which was used for the first time in the seventh generation of the Corvette Stingray, is now at work there. You can buy the engine as Crate engine, With Dry- or with Wet sump about Chevrolet Performance. In the C1 from Timless there is wet sump lubrication and the V8 delivers 470 hp according to the manufacturer. Compared to the series, the most powerful version of which was equipped with a 5,4-liter V8 and 360 hp, this is of course an announcement. The LT1 is also mated to a six-speed Tremec manual gearbox and one was installed for befitting deceleration braking system from Brembo. It is even a ceramic brake system. And so that the performance is appropriate to the road, of course, there are also plenty of slippers installed all around.

9" rims with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires

Specifically, they rely on modern 19-inch rims with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and a chrome-plated surface. The restomod look is rounded off by cloned front fenders missing the original chrome strip and fitted with color-matched inserts in place of the original white ones. We find the fact that the original emblems and lettering have been removed from the front to be a bit of a shame. However, we really like the overall result. The rest of the changes are shown in the video below. If we get more information about the changes to the C1, there is of course an update for this report.
