Beauty for the beast: H & R coil springs for the BMW M6 Grand Coupe

The crouched silhouette of the BMW M6 Grand Coupé leaves no doubt as to the power of the Bavarian racing car. The bi-turbo V8 with 600 hp and breathtaking performance at super sports car level underpins this claim. M GmbH's equipment options also leave little to be desired. These include a variably adjustable vehicle height, which H&R now enables with a threaded spring set. Despite the fact that the standard dampers have been retained, the vehicle's center of gravity now moves down, variably height-adjustable, on the front axle by 40 to 55 millimeters and at the rear by between 30 and 50 mm.

In addition to the even sharper optics, what counts above all is the gain in steering dynamics. Nevertheless, the driving comfort is still on a level suitable for long journeys. Also available are H&R "Trak +" wheel spacers made of high-tensile aluminum, with which standard and retrofit wheels are fully fitted in the wheel arches. Another gain, both visually and dynamically. The normal H&R sport springs will of course remain in the H&R delivery program. All H&R products are 100 percent "Made in Germany" and always have the required parts certificates. H&R coil springs are only available through selected sales partners.

While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
