From the tuner Competition carbon are currently the first virtual images of a planned body kit for the Chevrolet Corvette C8 equipped with a V8 mid-engine. The whole thing is apparently called "C8RR Roadster / Spyder body kit". The complete kit is extremely extensive and gives the C8 a completely new look in the style of a super sports car. Currently, Competition Carbon only offers aero kits and body parts for the Corvette of the C7 generation, including the widebody variant, various individual spoilers, aprons, bonnets and the like. Competition Carbon currently has nothing in its range for the C8. But it looks like that will change abruptly with the upcoming C8RR Roadster / Spyder kit. Based on the C8 as a hardtop convertible, the new Competition Carbon Bodykit transforms the Vette into a particularly aggressive monster with completely new lines.

At the front, the C8 Corvette C8RR Roadster / Spyder gets a completely new bumper, which completely "removes" the standard headlights in favor of centrally mounted, rounded headlights and a pronounced lower splitter element. Eligible? No way! The front hood is additionally ventilated (why actually?) and leads the eye back to the wide flared fenders. They have a massive triangular shape in the area of the air inlets which open with sharp edges and angles directly in front of the rear wheels. One of the most striking elements is definitely the large snorkel on the roof just above the seats. It undoubtedly serves to supply cold air to the engine and at the same time to generate some very special noises for the people sitting in the cockpit. And Competition Carbon says the kit comes with a manually installed Targa top.

The rear has two triangular, permanently installed tailpipes that protrude from the rear engine cover and are reminiscent of high-end exotic cars such as the Porsche 918 Spyder. There is also a completely new rear apron with an aggressive diffuser and central LED light and a relatively discreet ducktail spoiler lip is also being considered. It will be interesting to see whether the kit will actually make it into reality and whether the removed main headlights may be dispensed with in favor of approval.
