MINI John Cooper Works GP3 as "DCL DÄHLer Competition Line"

Actually it is MINI John Cooper Works GP with its limited edition of only 3.000 vehicles an extremely rare guest on our roads. But surprisingly, more and more vehicles make it to various tuners. No matter if it is now AC Schnitzer, Beek Auto Racing or Manhart Performance are, the radical hot hatch has already been buttoned up by many and become the ultimate Pocket rocket transformed. And now comes that Dähler Design & Technik GmbH from Belp in Switzerland. They have also taken the GP to their chests and show their very own interpretation of the compact athlete. With the conversion, dÄhler impressively shows that what BMW is a Track-optimized special Edition calls, still has room for improvement.

While the MINI John Cooper Works GP 3 already has the "normal" versions of the JCW-MINI 306 PS & 450 NM strong B48 turbo four-cylinder under the hood, the DÄHLer performance increase provides a full 335 hp and 510 Nm torque, for an even more significant serve. The 2,0-liter four-cylinder engine thus achieves a Specific output of just under 168 hp. That is of course an announcement! And at the same time, DÄHLer is also increasing the factory Vmax limitation on. However, we don't know how fast the GP is going now. In any case, from the factory it is already running 265 things and there is a high probability that an additional 10-15 km / h is now possible. For in-house chip tuning, the MINI JCW GP 3 "DCL DÄHLer Competition Line" also has one Carbon-sucking by Eventuri and an in-house facility ensures proper acoustics Two-pipe stainless steel exhaust system with CAN bus controlled exhaust flap control. It shows up with ceramic-coated 114 millimeter tailpipes with the familiar central arrangement.

Performance coilover kit "built by DÄHLer"

And since the GP comes with an optimized oil supply and cooling package, a newly designed chassis with special tuning, a sports brake system, all sorts of wings including striking extensions and new forged rims, not much was really necessary to achieve the optimum in terms of perfect performance to reach. That is why DÄHLer only installs that Performance coilover kit "built by DÄHLer", which can be adjusted independently of each other in rebound and compression damping. This makes the GP 3 perfect for use under track conditions. By the way: the changes with regard to the performance are individually WLTP-E6d-tested and EU / CH homologated, but the combination of the components has also been officially approved. If we get more information about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply take ours Feed subscribe to.
