Equus Throwback - 1.000 PS Exot based on Corvette C7

For some time circulating various information on the net that the North American manufacturer Equus Automotive wants to bring an athlete with 7 PS based on the current Chevrolet Corvette C1000 onto the market. And now the “Equus Throwback” seems to be a reality. Equus Automotive presented a lot of pictures and a video of the limited edition athlete, which cost around $ 130.000. Incidentally, “throwback” can be translated as “step backwards” and this does not refer to the technology, but to the design. Equus tried to create a look that is strongly reminiscent of the legendary Corvette C3 Stingray, especially in the side profile, and the rear is also based on the design of the C3 with the striking taillights.

The front, on the other hand, is less assignable and so it could be a mixture of a new Renault Alpine, a little Corvette C7 and an Icona Vulcano. The highlight is definitely under the hood because here a V8 compressor with 6,2 l displacement and approx. 1.000 PS & 1.114 NM provides insane acceleration values. Just 2,5 seconds should pass for the sprint to 100 km / h and the throwback should effortlessly break through the 350 km / h mark. By the way, a seven-speed manual gearbox is used for shifting, but a reinforced Hydra-Matic 8L90 automatic gearbox should also be available.

By the way, Equus Automotive promises that each of the only 25 planned copies will be brought to the buyer as a unique specimen and will incorporate a lot of customer requests into the production of the vehicle. If we get more details about the Equus Throwback, there is of course an update for this story. You will be informed about the update when you get ours Feed subscribe to.
