The Benimar brand from Spain expanded its Mileo series in 2021 with the 261 model. With a length of almost seven meters and based on the Fiat Ducato, the semi-integrated caravan is aimed particularly at German customers. Semi-integrated campers under seven meters long with single beds and a garage are considered the classic models from the major manufacturers in Germany. It was precisely at this point that the Spanish Trigano subsidiary brand Benimar, which has been represented on the German market again since 2020, had a gap in its range - which was closed a year later with the Mileo 261. The Benimar Mileo 261 offers a comfortable interior with all amenities - there are also two single beds in the rear, between which you have access to the rear garage from the inside.

A clever solution: two steps are integrated in the door to the rear garage, which make it easier to get into the single beds. In front of the beds, Benimar places a kitchenette with a large fridge on the one hand and the bathroom with a separate shower on the other. Like many other manufacturers, Benimar relies on a large and comfortable seating area in the Mileo 261. It consists of an L-shaped bench seat, an opposite longitudinal bench seat and the two rotating driver's seats. There is space for up to five people to eat and relax. An optional single pull-down bed can be accommodated above the driver's seats, increasing the number of sleeping places to three, while there are four belted seats.
Attractive interior and attractive price
The interior of the Benimar Mileo 261 was designed in a two-tone, high-contrast style. White fronts meet dark wood decor. The exterior particularly stands out due to the design back panel with LED lights and dark accents. The equipment is already quite extensive in the basic price. The standard equipment includes, among other things, the 140 hp engine, an integrated radio with steering wheel control, extra flat framed windows and a cabin door with central locking. The Benimar Mileo series was expanded in 2021 by a total of three models to eight layouts: In addition to the M261, the M268 is also a model with a single bed layout, while the M297 model has a queen-size bed in the rear. Both can optionally be expanded with a fold-down bed for two additional sleeping places.
Final Thoughts
In general, Benimar attaches great importance to a construction that promises longevity in its models: glass fiber plastic (GRP) on the outside and inside and XPS foam as insulation in the middle. The body was almost entirely made of wood. The Benimar Mileo 261 not only convinces with an attractive price, but also with its high-quality construction.
