Fiber-reinforced plastics have been known in vehicle construction for decades, but their application in vehicle frame area is a rather new idea. So, why not reinvent caravans with the materials and use fiber-reinforced plastics for load-bearing parts? The Travelino marked the beginning of the revolution with fiber frame technology in 2016. The self-supporting frame construction consists of profiles that were glued together with the help of robots - a technique that has of course been further developed since then. The Knaus Azur introduces Fiber Frame technology to standard floor plan models. For now there are four models: 460 EU, 500 EU and 500 EU with single beds and the 500 FU with French bed. First-class equipment meets smaller stumbling blocks
The standard goodies of the 2023 Knaus Azur include a "Premium" body door with window and insect screen, aluminum wheels, vertical load indicator, a wide LED awning light and the small Truma thermal bath with a ten-liter boiler and a water filter.
