In the year 2015 appeared is the successor of the Ferrari 458 Italia, in the form of the 488 GTB, more than just an adequate replacement. The performance data in particular are convincing across the board because the V8-BiTurbo with its 670 PS & 760 NM torque is simply a different world compared to the 570 PS & 540 NM torque-strong V8 naturally aspirated engine from the 458. Even in series production, the new one accelerates to 3 km / h in just 100 seconds, making it almost half a second faster than its predecessor. The difference of 0-200 km / h is even more striking; here the 488 clearly sets itself apart with an acceleration that is 2,5 seconds faster. And while the 458 could only be given more performance with extensive classic optimizations, the 488 can be done with chip tuning for relatively little money. One example is that 772PS strong NOVITEC ROSSO 488 which by means of the N-TRONIC control module and an optimized sports exhaust system brings to light a whopping 102 PS & 132NM more torque and reduces the sprint to 200 km / h by 1,4 seconds. And the Chinese tuner now had just such a 488 GTB Do it racing on site, and don't worry, the vehicle has been modified just as it would be done in Germany (Europe). No flashing aerodynamic parts, no additional underbody lighting and luckily no conspicuous foiling but only high-quality Novitec & FI accessories.
The subtle carbon aerodynamic package comes from Novitec and consists of a front spoiler lip, side flaps, a panel for the central air inlet, side skirts, air control elements in the side air inlets and a diffuser attachment for the rear apron. And as already mentioned, there was also a sports exhaust system for the Italian and here they opted for a Frequency Intelligent Exhaust System that provides a breathtaking sound. In my opinion, an absolutely successful conversion that does justice to the style of the 488 and, in contrast to the often rather ridiculed Chinese tuning methods, completely on target (or yellow) meets. If we get more information about the modifications to the 488, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
