For many, Fiat's Multipla (pre-facelift from 1999-2004) is the "ugliest car in the world". And this specimen is probably the fastest, ugliest car in the world! We already have about the crazy Multipla project reported last year and back then the builders around the YouTube account "Vilebrequin" (translated: crankshaft) the ambitious goal, insane 1.000 PS to stuff into the multipla. Since then, Vilebrequin has transformed the vehicle into a real racing car, which took a good four years and the help of a Kickstarter campaign. But since October 2022 the speedster has been ready! And it's no longer so extremely ugly, which is particularly due to the specially made wide body, which now shines in a red, white and black paint job. The kit includes an XXL front splitter, a massive rear wing, a huge diffuser and the fenders are also significantly widened all around. The bonnet also got a special attachment. And under the sheet metal? That's where the absolute highlight is!

Gone are the days when the Multipla was powered by the 103 hp "strong" 1,6 liter four-cylinder base engine. Under the fat shell now sits an extremely tuned by means of a compressor V8 engine from a C7 Corvette of type Z06. The engine delivers a hefty 659 hp ex works due to its 6,2 liter displacement. And with all the modifications made, it brings the new engine now even insane ones 1.294 PS and thus on the performance of a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Strictly speaking, the Frenchman even has 94 hp "weaker". Compared to the standard engine, the Multipla now has more than twelve times the power. Incidentally, the engine is coupled to the automatic transmission of the Vette, which of course has been adapted accordingly in order to cope with the additional power. The power also gets onto the road using white Work-Wheels drop center rims with extra-wide Michelin tires.

And of course has Crankshaft also installed a reinforced chassis that relies on a thread adjustment. There was also an all-round sports brake system and the interior is also completely new. In addition to the massive widening, the rear doors were also omitted directly. The practicality of the Multipla has disappeared and instead of the six seats there is now only room for two. Driver and passenger place themselves in radical Racing seats and you can also see a GT steering wheel Quick release. And there is one too Short throw shifter. The complete cabin is also controlled by means of Roll cage and there are countless other racing details. The following video shows what the Multipla can do, where it is put through its paces in Magny-Cours. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
