Uniqueness in bare carbon: three exclusive Koenigsegg!

It is undeniable that Koenigsegg is a pioneer in the automotive industry and always impresses with technical innovations and extraordinary design. More recently, the company with the Koenigsegg Naked Carbon (KNC) surface, a finish made of "bare" carbon, set new standards. In the automotive world, the finish has become a coveted and emblematic feature of exclusivity. The peculiarity of the finish lies in the uniqueness of the process. During the production of carbon fibers, a thin layer of epoxy is applied, which normally gives the carbon its shiny appearance. However, Koenigsegg decided to go one step further. Rather than settle for this glossy finish, the epoxy layer has been carefully hand sanded to give the carbon a smooth finish naked, matte look to rent.

The process, as simple as it may sound, is extremely time consuming and requires a high level of precision and craftsmanship as any mistake can ruin the entire vehicle component. However, the result is stunning, emphasizing the carbon character of the athlete by providing depth, structure and a unique visual experience.

  • Koenigsegg Regera (2018): The hybrid hypercar, which has both a 5,0-liter bi-turbo V8 and three electric motors, was the first to do so KNC finish received. It is a technical masterpiece that has a system performance of over 1.500 PS & 2.000 Nm torque generated.
  • Koenigsegg Jesko (Attack Version): A beast on the racetrack. Its most striking feature is the massive rear wing, which ensures maximum downforce. The bright red accents, which give the Jesko additional dynamics, should also be emphasized.
  • Koenigsegg One:1: Named after the power ratio of 1 hp per kilogram. It was at times the crown jewel of Koenigsegg. Its 5,0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces breathtaking power 1.341 PS and a torque of 1.371 Nm, making it one of the most powerful cars of its time.

Three legends in naked carbon!

In conclusion, it can be said that Koenigsegg with the Naked carbon finish proved once again that they are able to combine art and technology in a way that is unparalleled in the automotive industry.
