Tuner G-Power is known for always putting it on top. Best example is one 800PS Mercedes E-Class and also the 800PS M5 F90 shows impressively to what the tuner from Peutenhausen in the district Osterham is capable. And now comes the next prime example based on the limited BMW M2 Competition. After AC-Schnitzer with the ACS2 sports 500 PS, and Mcchip-dkr even 600 PS, from the S55B30 six-cylinder in-line engine with bi-exhaust gas turbocharger, G-Power once again provides significantly more. The tuner conjures up insane 680 PS and 860 NM in the small M2 and thus ensures an increase in performance by an impressive 270 PS and 310 NM. In other words, the M2 is "additionally" given the performance of a 230i with a B48B20 engine without taking its 1.475 kg curb weight with you.

The M2 now has a power to weight ratio of 2,39 kg per horsepower, between a Chevrolette Corvette Z06 and a Lamborghini Huracan Performante. Thus, the M2 Competition of G-Power plays in the league of purebred super athletes what is also noticeable on paper of course. Requires the M2 Competition Coupe in the Factory data 4,2 seconds for the sprint to 100 km / h (with DKG) so it is now only short 3,2 seconds. A one-second improvement is worlds apart in this league, and especially when it comes to rear-wheel drive. Not surprising that the top speed increases accordingly. The M2 regulates electronically from the factory at 250 km / h (280 km / h with the M Driver's Package), now it can reach a top speed of 330 km / h. But how does G-Power achieve the extra performance?

hardly changes outside

For this it needs the in-house G-Power performance software V4 and in addition the tuner overhauls the two M2 Competition turbochargers. You will receive a larger compressor wheel that G-Power has developed on its own and uses CNC milling technology. In addition still new turbine blades with capped ends. Furthermore, the Turbos CNC-machined exhaust and compressor housing with enlarged inlets and outlets and also the exhaust system of the M2 has been pre-buttoned. G-Power uses flow-optimized downpipes and a complete stainless steel system that empties into four 90 millimeter tailpipes. And visually, the tuning of G-Power shows. The well-known HURRICANE RR double-spoke forged wheel in the format 9 x 20 inch front and 10,5 × 20 inch rear and equipped with Michelin high-performance slippers in the format 245 / 30 and 285 / 25.

Lower with G2M-RS coilover suspension

And so that the wheel set sits perfectly in the wheel arch, and the M2 circles even more aggressive around the corner, there was still a lowering by means of in-house G2M RS coilover suspension. The presentation vehicle also received G-Power emblems front and rear, an M-Performance rear wing, an orange painted engine cover and a few G2M logos all around. If we receive more information in a timely manner, there is of course as always an update for this report.
