The Spanish automobile brand Hispano-Suiza, which was founded in 1904, has now started again after a checkered past to build on its historical roots and to produce luxury automobiles for real connoisseurs. The comeback of the brand with the illustrious name started in Switzerland, where the Carmen and Carmen Boulogne are to be produced. Based on the races in the northern French city of Boulogne-sur-Mer, which were won by Hispano-Suiza racing cars in the 1910s, the special edition of the Hispano-Suiza Carmen was christened Boulogne. The electric athlete has clearly visible style elements from the 1920s, combined with modern design and future-oriented technology, and the special edition called Boulogne, for which no pictures are available yet, is being developed by the Spanish technology company QEV Technologies, which is also used in Formula E. has already made a name. Design for connoisseurs of automobiles
The design is a mixture of modern design elements and classic automobile construction. From the front it looks not unlike a Bentley, but the sideline already shows great similarities to streamlined racing cars from the 1920s, while the rear then presents itself in a modern, modern Le Mans style and could have come directly from a jet plane. Thanks to the carbon fiber monocoque, the weight could be reduced to an incredible 1690 kg, which means that the Hispano-Suiza already has a breathtaking power-to-weight ratio of 1,65 kg / hp. Equipped in this way, it goes from 2,8 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds, but the car is electronically limited at 250 km / h to save the battery. But there are tuning forges who know how to remove the limitation of electric sports cars so that the luxury-spoiled clientele, who have the necessary change to be able to put such a car in the garage, are also satisfied with the top speed, if they can would like to move the luxurious vehicle on the race track on Sundays.
Strict limitation and dizzying price
The new Hispano-Suiza is manufactured exclusively by hand and is limited to just 19 pieces, the unit price being 1,5 million euros. This means that only a select group of people can enjoy being able to call such a fascinating automobile their own.
