In addition, even a Defender of Kahn design or ECD Automotive boring. The huge Defender fan base should, however, freeze when looking at this bright orange specimen from Brisbane, Australia. Probably the only Hot Wheels Land Rover Defender was built by a father-son team from "Down Under" under the label "Ikon Cutoms" as IKON 01 and is based on a 1985 Defender County. The Defender was bought in miserable condition for only $ 1.000 and then started to be completely rebuilt. Not in its original state but for what it is now. The team has been collecting Hot Wheels cars for 15 years and that is also the background for the conversion. 2 years went into the country for the project and by the way over 30.000 dollars.

in any case a single piece

The Defender presents itself in bright orange and also carries a matte black widebody kit with screwed fender flares all around. In addition, there is a completely new front grille and a striking front apron with LED light strips on the right and left. And also equipped with LED technology are the dark headlights, the turn signals and at the rear the small round taillights. And in addition to the paint job, the mighty 24 inch forged wheel set in matt black with ultra-thin low-profile tires is an eye-catcher. Add to this the fact that the Defender has received an Airride suspension for lowering. On request, this is extremely in the direction of the road, but always up to a mobile level. And then there's the engine.

V8 Power with over 400 PS in Defender

Under the hood one stuffed a LS2 6,0-V8 unit of Holden Special Vehicles That, with the impressive 420 PS, and in combination with a handcrafted sports exhaust system, gives no thought to the original diesel engine. Incidentally, the engine continues to receive the intake air with a distinctive intake snorkel above the windscreen. And also the interior has been decorated with lots of orange. Add to that a new instrument cluster, a Pioneer navigation system and of course freshly prepared seats, carpets and fittings. The IKON 01 Defender is in any case an absolute one-off and should probably provide a lot of discussion. If we get more information on the changes in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is just ours Feed subscribe to.
