The purist retro athlete Jannarelly Design 1 with 329 PS Nissan V6 power is now also available in the UK. And there one waits since the presentation to the Salon Privé in the garden of the Blenheim Palace already eagerly. For modern sports cars with a classic appearance are currently in full swing, especially in the UK. The design 1 comes with a Nissan V6, a space frame and three body styles. Incidentally, the technical development was taken over by Frederic Juillot, who was also responsible for the Zarooq Sand Racer. The body placed over the tubular frame is made of fiberglass or, for an additional charge, of carbon fiber laminate. Optional there is a carbonHardtop which accounts for a large proportion of the low curb weight of just 810 kilograms (760 kilogram as CFK variant).

big as the sports cars of the 60er

The dimensions are based on 3,86 meter length, 1,84 meter width and 1,08 meter height to the sports car of the 60er and as already mentioned there is the two-seater in three body styles. Either way, it's a retro design. The open version as a roadster has a high or a low windscreen and then there is the coupe. The athlete presents himself with expansive shapes in a modern look and fittingly he stands on 16-inch rims with Toyo R888 tires in the format 215 / 50 and 245 / 45. Under the hood sits a transversely mounted 3,5-liter V6 naturally aspirated engine from the Nissan range, which is connected to a manual six-speed transmission and a locking differential and rear-wheel drive was coupled. The 329 PS and 371 Nm torque provide for 3,9 seconds in the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h and the top speed of the two-seater should be about 220 km / h.

The interior is also puristic

In the chassis, there are double wishbones with adjustable shock absorbers and the delay takes one Wilwood brake system with four-piston calipers at the front and two-piston calipers at the back. In the cabin it is simply too. The Jannarelly Design 1 has retro instruments, carbon sports seats with Sabelt four-point belts and a 330-millimeter sports steering wheel from Nardi with a multi-part steering column. Although the rather boring Nissan engine does not quite fit with the spectacular exterior, the base for various performance improvements is perfect. About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
