This converted classic comes from the restorer Aubrey Automobiles from London. And according to our information, the one-off is the company's first completed vehicle. Specifically, it is a Land Rover of the series III 109 from 1973. He became comprehensive restauriert and with modern components to Restomod rebuilt. The assignment was to restore the Land Rover in preparation for moving to the Swiss Alps. The off-roader spent much of its lifetime as an agricultural vehicle and needed a few upgrades for its new home. One of the biggest changes was the conversion to a new galvanized chassis and of course the complete restoration including all nuts and bolts.

In addition, the classic of Right- on LHD rebuilt and apparently even a new engine and a new gearbox were installed. However, we do not have any concrete information on this. The same applies to details of the new brake system and the new chassis. For that, we know that Aubrey has a removable, MSUK-certified Roll cage built with six points and a ski and bicycle carrier. There are even three different roof configurations for the difficult conditions in the Swiss Alps. For example, you can drive the classic with side windows and a fabric roof, or you can remove the side windows, roof and roll cage to get a completely open vehicle.
And the changes made continue in the interior. There they include a new Connolly leather interior on the six installed seats, which by the way all one Heated seats have. The interior is decorated with fine wenge wood and even has a small drinks cabinet. The windshield can still be folded down and there is even a modern audio system Apple CarPlay compatibility. "Our bespoke restorations ensure automobiles, iconic and everyday vehicles are restored to better-than-new condition while retaining their historic look and 'old' soulsaid Georgia Peck, founder of Aubrey Automobiles.

And Peck continues: "We work hand-in-hand with our customers, from providing the base vehicle to the finished product, and every step in between". Incidentally, according to Aubrey Automobiles, the project should have taken a good 8 months and around 1.000 working hours. The vehicle will be presented to the public on February 24 at the International Concours of Elegance in St. Moritz (Switzerland).
